I think just the fact that Michael Jackson was a celebrity made it top news. I think Michael Jackson probably got treated with more respect during his autopsy than at any other moment in his life. Sad to say it but he made some really bad choices but who am I to judge. I’m not sure but did it state that he was wearing a wig when the corners office went to get hair samples in a “secure lobby” in a supine in a yellow casket with blue lining and covered with multiple white towels/sheets leaving only the hands and top of the head exposed. Regarding the ruling I honestly think it was both Jacksons and his doctors fault, Jackson was a little odd and if he was taking all of those pills it was obvious he wanted to kill himself but yet the doctor kind of helped so I just think it not all the doctors’ fault. Yes the doctor should have been more carful especially because it was one of the most known worldwide celebrities he was responsible for his health and if anything happen to Jackson he was going to be blamed. I think I have a better idea on what autopsy is and I think it is an intense job. I myself will not be able to work in this department for sure. I think the fact that Smiths autopsy report only consists of eight pages, is pretty sad. While Jacksons was twenty tree pages long. I don’t know if I’m the only one that noticed but in Jacksons report all the signatures were obtained while on Smiths report the signatures spaces were left blank.

The death of Michael Jackson was perhaps one of the most controversial deaths of a celebrity there has been. He was a mega star that had very high status. Special circumstances in this case which I thought do not normally occur was that it took six weeks for coroner officials to take hair samples from Michael Jackson to do toxicology testing. I would have expected them to do this sooner so that it would be more accurate. Also while they were plucking the sample it was done in the presence of Michael Jackson’s sister La Toya. Also it was done in a “secured lobby”, which is different because I would expect it to be done at the coroners office. Also he was on a yellow casket with blue lining. 

What I felt was different about this case is the fact that Michael Jackson was found to have died from a powerful anesthetic propofol. While one could expect someone to die from this from a suicide, this was actually something prescribed by a doctor. The doctor himself was charged with unlawfully and without malice killing Michael Jackson. This seems very weird because one would expect a doctor would know what he is prescribing and know what the effects could be. If he did know and still prescribed it one could expect there to be some type of malice of forethought. I don’t believe things like this is common. Since Michael Jackson had a lot of money perhaps that played a part in things happening the way they did. From reading this I was able to learn more about a autopsy report because I was able to clearly see what was the cause of death and the exact drugs that contributed to this. 

In regards to Anna Nicole Smiths report it differs from Michael Jackson’s cause of death because here there were more different drugs involved. Chloral hydrate was not lethal in itself but since it was mixed with other drugs it became lethal. Also there was a viral flu and an abscess that had developed in her buttock that were contributory causes. Her death I believe was ruled more as a homicide than a accident because this was more something that she did on her own without her doctors consent, while with Michael Jackson, he was more under a doctors supervision.
